Das beste Projekt wird von der Kommission «HFR Forschungsgrants» mit dem Georges-Phyton-Preis ausgezeichnet. Dieser ist mit 5000 Franken dotiert und wird vom Ärztekollegium finanziert.
Kommissionsmitglieder treten für Bewerberinnen und Bewerber aus ihrem unmittelbaren Umfeld in den Ausstand. Der Entscheid der Kommission ist endgültig und kann nicht angefochten werden.
